V treh se je pokazalo, da poslu\u0161anje glasbe, ki jo poslu\u0161alci dojemajo kot lepo, zni\u017euje raven testosterona pri mo\u0161kih, pri \u017eenskah pa jo zvi\u0161uje, pri glasbi, ki jo dojemajo kot grdo pa je u\u010dinek nasproten. Visok testosteron inhibira sinhronizacijo glasbe in gibanja, kar je potrebno pri plesu. Podoben u\u010dinek na testosteron kot poslu\u0161anje glasbe ima tudi gledanje filmov. Po ogledu odseka iz romanti\u010dnega filma Najini mostovi se je testosteron pri mo\u0161kih zni\u017eal, ob gledanju odseka z nasiljem iz filma Boter pa zvi\u0161al.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lepa umetnost lahko torej \u017ee neposredno &#8211; \u00bbhormonsko\u00ab &#8211; prispeva k bolj enakopravnemu odnosu med mo\u0161kimi in \u017eenskami: mo\u0161ki postanemo ob njej manj agresivni, \u017eenske pa malo bolj podjetne, kar je dobro za prepotrebno enakovredno sodelovanje in \u010dlovekovo dostojanstvo obojih. \u010ce je nekdo nadrejen, drugi pa podrejen, je poteptano \u010dlovekovo dostojanstvo obeh. \u00bbVsi ljudje se rodimo svobodni in imamo enake pravice in dostojanstvo\u00ab, je zapisano v Splo\u0161ni deklaraciji o \u010dlovekovih pravicah. Tla\u010denje dostojanstva pa spodkopava tudi \u010dlovekovo zdravje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nova znanstvena disciplina nevroestetika dokazuje, da je lepota pomembna tudi za zdravje. Spodbuja na primer izlo\u010danje hormonov dobrega po\u010dutja &#8211; dopamina, serotonina in oksitocina in zmanj\u0161uje koli\u010dino stresnega hormona kortizola v krvi.
