Iz glukoze oz. iz ketonov, pridobljenih iz ma\u0161\u010dob, ustvarjajo s pomo\u010djo kisika v t. im. elektronski transportni verigi za telo uporabno obliko energije ATP, adenozin trifosfat. Postopek ni popoln, saj pri tem nastajajo kisikovi prosti radikali: sprva kot superoksidni radikali, ki se lahko pretvorijo (preko peroksida) v smrtonosne hidroksile. Ti dolgoro\u010dno spodkopavajo telo, povzro\u010dajo bolezni in kon\u010dno smrt. Ugotovljeno je, da ob pove\u010dani temperaturi okolja mitohondriji ustvarjajo manj energije (ATP) in precej ve\u010d prostih radikalov. Vsi organi imajo zato v \u010dasu vro\u010dine manj energije, telo pa je bolj nasi\u010deno s toksi\u010dnimi odpadki. Za razstrupljanje koristi \u017ee pitje vode, blagodejno pa bi bilo u\u017eivati tudi kak antioksidant, ki zmore oba u\u010dinka: u\u010dinkovito nevtralizirati proste radikale in pove\u010dati proizvodnjo ATP. Preizkusi, ki sta jih izvedla dr. P. G. Flanagan in dr. C. Stephanson, dokazujejo, da FHES zmore oboje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V laboratorijskem preizkusu sta preverjala obrambno u\u010dinkovitost sedmih vrst antioksidantov. Najprej sta celice napadla z zelo strupenimi prostimi radikali (hidroksili) v tolik\u0161nem odmerku, da so pomrle skoraj vse (99,4 %). Nato pa sta celice najprej napojila z antioksidanti v koncentracijah, ki jih priporo\u010dajo proizvajalci in ponovila napad nanje s hidroksili. Najbolj\u0161o za\u0161\u010dita se je pokazala ob uporabi FHES, saj je pre\u017eivelo 91,6 % celic, s pomo\u010djo vitamina C je bilo pre\u017eivetje 71,0 %, s koencimom Q10 pa 25,1 %. Koncentracija FHES je bila tolik\u0161na, kot bi odrasel \u010dlovek u\u017eil 4 kapsule FHES na dan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V drugem preizkusu sta dr. Flanagan in dr. Stephanson dokazala, da v vodi, obogateni s FHES, celice ustvarijo iz glukoze v dolo\u010denem \u010dasu do petkrat ve\u010d energije (ATP), \u010desar obi\u010dajni antioksidanti ne zmorejo. Obi\u010dajni antioksidanti imajo tudi negativne stranske u\u010dinke, medtem ko je za FHES dokazano, da celo v velikih odmerkih ni \u0161kodljiv. Skratka, FHES je med antioksidanti izjemen po svoji varnosti in u\u010dinkovitosti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S staranjem antioksidantskost telesa upada. Pri petdesetih letih je antioksidantska raven krvi kar stokrat ni\u017eja kot pri dvajsetih. Verjetno tudi zato starej\u0161i te\u017ee prena\u0161amo poletno vro\u010dino kot mlaj\u0161i in bolj \u010dutimo koristi u\u017eivanja FHES. Moja soproga je ob opisanih izku\u0161njah s FHES imela 65 let.
