Zakaj zdravniki zagovarjajo tolik\u0161no raven sladkorja kot \u00bbodli\u010dno\u00ab, ko pa je na laboratorijskih izvidih navedeno, da so normalne ravni med 3,6 in 6,1 mmol\/L (od 6,2 do 6.9 mmol\/l je preddiabetes, pri 7,0 ali ve\u010d pa \u017ee diabetes)? Raziskave namre\u010d ka\u017eejo, da nastaja t. im. inzulinska rezistenca \u017ee, \u010de je redna jutranja raven glukoze 5,4 mmol\/L ali ve\u010d, s tem pa pove\u010dano tveganje za diabetes, bolezni srca in o\u017eilja, raka, demenco in druge bolezni. Zavedati se moramo, da sladkor ni le odli\u010dna hrana za celice, pa\u010d pa tudi neizbe\u017een vir strupov \u2013 glikotoksemije. Poglejmo zakaj.<\/p>\n<p>Glukoza je zelo dober vir energije, ker je hitro presnovljiva. Prav zato je tudi zelo nevarna, saj hitra presnovljivost pomeni, da zlahka reagira z molekulami iz okolja. Med njimi so najbolj izpostavljene beljakovine. Ko se glukoza spoji z beljakovino, nastane glicirana beljakovina, ki je za telo neuporabna in strupena. Glicirana beljakovina namre\u010d ustvari kar 50-krat ve\u010d prostih radikalov kot obi\u010dajna (Perlmutter, 2015). V telesu imamo na desettiso\u010de razli\u010dnih beljakovin.
