F.D. Choi in njenih sodelavcev, v katerem so povzeli rezultate osmih raziskav o u\u017eivanju kolagena. V njih je sodelovalo 805 prostovoljcev. V vseh so bili udele\u017eenci razdeljeni na testno in kontrolno skupino. Udele\u017eenci so u\u017eivali kolagen ali placebo od 12 do 24 tednov. U\u017eiti kolagen je bil razgrajen na sestavine in s tem la\u017eje presnovljiv. Pri vseh raziskavah se je pri udele\u017eencih, ki so u\u017eivali kolagen, izbolj\u0161ala pro\u017enost ko\u017ee, njena hidriranost in druge njene kakovosti bolj kot v kontrolni skupini. Negativnih stranskih u\u010dinkov niso zaznali.<\/p>\n<p>S soprogo kolagena nisva nikoli jemala, pa\u010d pa sva si elasti\u010dnost ko\u017ee ob\u010dutno izbolj\u0161ala z u\u017eivanjem aminokislin OKA. To je po mojem v\u00e9denju potrebno zlasti v zrelih letih, ko je ko\u017enih celic (fibroblastov) vse manj. Zgolj u\u017eivanje kolagena namre\u010d ne omogo\u010da ustvarjanja novih fibroblastov, saj to zahteva mnogo celovitej\u0161o beljakovinsko podporo kot jo zagotavlja le kolagen.
