Pri isti koli\u010dini u\u017eitih energetskih virov so celice sposobne ustvariti bistveno ve\u010d energije. Potrebujemo manj hrane, saj jo celice bolje izkoristijo.<\/p>\n<p>Energijo potrebujemo za premagovanje fizi\u010dnih in psihi\u010dnih naporov, pa tudi za ohranitev zdravja. K. Purdy Lloyd preizku\u0161ala vpliv u\u017eivanja FHES na fiziolo\u0161ke procese v \u010dasu telesnih naporov. Prostovoljci so bili mo\u0161ki, stari od 20 do 29 let, nekadilci, zdravi in v dobri kondiciji. V \u010dasu enotedenskega preizkusa so trije u\u017eivali po 4 kapsule FHES na dan (po eno zjutraj, dve opoldne in eno zve\u010der), trije pa FHES niso u\u017eivali (kontrolna skupina). Pred za\u010detkom preizkusa so opravili test. Vsak udele\u017eenec je moral prevoziti s kolesom 40 km z maksimalno obremenitvijo. Strokovnjaki so merili razli\u010dne kazalce fiziolo\u0161kih procesov. Na koncu enotedenskega preizkusa so udele\u017eenci opravili enak test. Prostovoljci, ki so u\u017eivali FHES, so 30 minut pred preizkusom u\u017eili po 2 kapsuli FHES s kozarcem vode.<\/p>\n<p>Med skupinama ni bilo statisti\u010dno pomembnih razlik v utripu srca, porabi kisika in delovni obremenitvi, je pa bilo v krvi udele\u017eencev, ki so u\u017eivali FHES, bistveno manj mle\u010dne kisline. Manj mle\u010dne kisline pomeni manj\u0161o utrujenost in hitrej\u0161o regeneracijo po opravljenem naporu. Preizkus ni pojasnil, ali gre pri u\u017eivanju FHES za manj\u0161o proizvodnjo mle\u010dne kisline v \u010dasu naporov ali za njeno hitrej\u0161e izlo\u010danje.
