Optimalen dnevni vnos je od 1,5 g do 2,0 g omega 3 v obliki dolgoveri\u017enih kislin EPA in DHA. Njihov najbogatej\u0161i vir je ribje olje, ki pa naj bo o\u010di\u0161\u010deno te\u017ekih kovin in drugih onesna\u017eevalcev (certifikat odli\u010dnosti IFOS). Globoko spanje, ki ga prikli\u010de melatonin, godi torej tudi rasti las. \u010ce\u0161arika ga v starosti ne ustvarja ve\u010d dovolj. Za izbolj\u0161anje spanja dr. Russel J. Reiter, starosta raziskovalcev melatonina, priporo\u010da odmerke od 0,2 do 10 mg pred spanjem (Reiter, Robinson, 1995).
