Telo jih ve\u010dino uspe samo sintetizirati, le kislin omega-3 in omega-6 ne, zato jih moramo pridobiti s hrano. Za optimalno delovanje organizma morajo biti omega-3 in omega-6 v ustreznem razmerju. To je v obi\u010dajni prehrani neugodno &#8211; kar 1:10 v korist omega-6. Svetovna zdravstvena organizacija priporo\u010da razmerje 1:5. Po ugotovitvah ve\u010d raziskav in po dr. Bredesenu pa je optimalno razmerje 1:1.<\/p>\n<p>Prese\u017eek mnogih vrst omega-6 kislin postane \u017ealtav(oksidira), kar povzro\u010da vnetja in druge zdravstvene te\u017eave. Potrebno je torej zmanj\u0161ati vnos omega-6 ma\u0161\u010dobnih kislin. To dose\u017eemo tako, da se odre\u010demo rafiniranim rastlinskim oljem (son\u010dni\u010dnemu, repi\u010dnemu, koruznemu itd.), ki so glavni vir prese\u017eka omega-6. Vsebujejo ga tudi vsa industrijsko pridelana hrana ter ma\u0161\u010dobe gojene \u017eivine. Bogat vir omega-3 so ribe. \u010ce u\u017eivamo 2-3 krat tedensko, kot je uradno priporo\u010deno, postopoma izbolj\u0161amo razmerje med omega-3 in omega-6, a po ugotovitvah dr. Bredesena s tem \u0161e ne dose\u017eemo njunega idealnega razmerja (1:1). Ribje olje je z okoli 30 % EPA in DHA njihov najbogatej\u0161i prehranski vir, pridobivajo pa jih tudi iz krila in mikroalg. Obi\u010dajno so EPA in DHA iz teh virov dra\u017eje od tistih, ki so pridobljene iz ribjih olj.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Koliko EPA in DHA potrebujemo?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Dr. Bredesen priporo\u010da vsakodnevno u\u017eivanje od 1500 mg do 2000 mg EPA in DHA. \u010ce u\u017eivamo le malo rib, je treba EPA in DHA skoraj v celoti pridobiti z ustreznimi prehranskimi dopolnili. Na trgu so ve\u010dinoma dopolnila z omega-3 iz ribjega olja. Kaj je pomembno pri njihovi izbiri?<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Certifikati kakovosti so pomembni<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Kot ka\u017ee, je zelo pomembna \u010distost olja, saj so ribe in njihovo olje obremenjene s te\u017ekimi kovinami in drugimi polutanti (PCB, dioksin itd), ki se v telesu kopi\u010dijo in so zelo destruktivni. Da jih izlo\u010dimo iz olja, je potreben postopek molekularne destilacije EPA in DHA. Z njo tudi dose\u017eejo, da produkt nima okusa po ribah in da je dele\u017e omega-3 v olju precej vi\u0161ji (okrog 70%) kot v izvornem ribjem olju.<\/p>\n<p>Certifikat odli\u010dnosti IFOS \u2013 International Fish Oil Standard (ocena 5 na lestvici od 0 do 5), ki ga podeljuje neodvisna organizacija pri kanadski univerzi v Guelphu, dokazuje to kakovost. Ribja olja, ki imajo certifikat odli\u010dnosti IFOS so tudi dra\u017eja, saj je postopek molekularne destilacije zelo drag. Je pa v takih oljih v primerjavi z nedestiliranim oljem ve\u010d kot dvakratna vsebnost EPA in DHA.<\/p>\n<p>Nekatera olja imajo \u0161e druge certifikate kakovosti, kot je na primer certifikat \u00bbPrijatelj morja\u00ab, ki jo podeljuje neodvisna nevladna organizacija Friend od the sea za hrano iz morja, pridobljeno z okolju prijaznim, trajnostno vzdr\u017enim gojenjem in ribolovom (v skladu s kriteriji FAO).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Pri \u010dem pomaga u\u017eivanje omega-3<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Dodajanje omega-3 prehrani koristi vsem, zlasti iz\u010drpanim od starosti ali bolezni. Desetletja raziskav potrjujejo, da je redno u\u017eivanje omega-3 v obliki EPA in DHA koristno za zmanj\u0161anje previsoke ravni trigliceridov v krvi, za zni\u017eanje previsokega krvnega tlaka, za izbolj\u0161anje delovanja srca, za bolj\u0161i vid, za zdravo spolnost, za kakovost ko\u017ee, za izbolj\u0161anje zaznave in drugih mo\u017eganskih funkcij, za zdravo nose\u010dnost, za manj depresij po porodu, za zmanj\u0161anje previsoke telesne te\u017ee, za \u010dvrste nohte in lase, za manj te\u017eav v menopavzi, za uspe\u0161no \u0161portno dejavnost in na splo\u0161no za zmanj\u0161anje vseh oblik kroni\u010dnih vnetij.
