V svetu je kar 24,8 % ljudi anemi\u010dnih.<\/p>\n<p>Slabokrvnost je pogostej\u0161a pri \u017eenskah v rodni dobi, pri otrocih in pri starej\u0161ih. V razvitem svetu je teh te\u017eav sicer nekoliko manj, a podatki o njihovi pogostosti so zaskrbljujo\u010di. V ZDA (2011) je slabokrvnih 11,9 % \u017eensk v rodni dobi, ve\u010d kot 10% prebivalcev obeh spolov starih 65 let in ve\u010d, po 85. letu pa je slabokrvnih \u017ee ve\u010d kot 20% ljudi.
