Obstajajo sicer shuj\u0161evalne kure, ki temeljijo na u\u017eivanju velike koli\u010dine beljakovin, na primer Atkinsonova dieta. Zaradi velike vsebnosti \u017eivalskih beljakovin, ki spodbujajo razvoj raka, ni zdrava in zato ni priporo\u010dljiva (Campbell, Campbell, 2006). Ve\u010dina shuj\u0161evalnih diet temelji na omejevanju u\u017eivanja kalorij. Ker so beljakovine zelo kalori\u010dna hrana, je pri uravnote\u017eenem jedilniku v \u010dasu huj\u0161anja z obi\u010dajnimi dietami nemogo\u010de zau\u017eiti toliko beljakovin, kot jih organizem potrebuje.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Posledici takih shuj\u0161evalnih kur, zlasti \u010de trajajo dalj \u010dasa, sta vise\u010da ko\u017ea in zmanj\u0161anje mi\u0161i\u010dne mase. Najob\u010dutljivej\u0161e so pri tem \u017eenske prsi. Zdravnik, prof. Maurizio Luc\u00e0-Moretti, je na svojem predavanju 28. novembra 2001 v Ljubljani povedal, da so najpogostej\u0161e stranke pri kirurgih v ZDA \u017eenske, ki so s huj\u0161anjem okvarile \u010dvrstost prsi, saj so te pri shuj\u0161evalnih programih najprej prizadete. Zaradi pomanjkanja beljakovin prsi uplahnejo in jih potem z normalno prehrano ali beljakovinskimi dodatki ni mo\u010d popraviti. Znanost \u0161e ne ve, zakaj, pravi prof. Luc\u00e0-Moretti, a v takih primerih pomaga le kirur\u0161ki poseg.<\/p>\n<p>Na levi je fotografija Stephena Dockerilla iz Wandswortha (London) po huj\u0161anju. V letu dni mu je uspelo izgubiti 95 kg, \u010desar je bil sicer vesel, a ni si predstavljal, kak\u0161ne posledice bo imela hitra izguba telesne te\u017ee. Ostalo je namre\u010d veliko odve\u010dne ko\u017ee, ki visi z njegovega trupa vse do kolen in ga ovira \u017ee pri preprostih aktivnostih, kot je na primer hoja.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u2019\u2019<em>Po\u010dutim se kot ujetnik v svojem telesu. Vesel sem, da ne tehtam ve\u010d 210 kg, a je zaradi odve\u010dne ko\u017ee moje \u017eivljenje samotno. \u017de vsakodnevna opravila, kot je hoja, obla\u010denje in celo odhod na strani\u0161\u010de, so te\u017eka.
